I am starting my PhD in October 2023 after receiving a first class honours for my undergraduate in Astronomy, Space Science and Astrophysics. My project, working with Prof Stephen Serjeant of the Open University, will be using machine learning to super resolve astronomical images. The data will come from the JWST (above), and will be primarily focused on galactic nuclei and deconvoluting through interstellar cirrus in mid infrared. The project will then use lower-resolution Wise and Spitzer data and deconvolve to attempt to reach JWST angular resolution. The aim is to use this data to locate and identify rare objects in dust obscured galaxies.
